WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2012 FSP makes independent, genre-bending, art.

Operating out of Melbourne, Australia we transform storytelling into a structured but often non-traditional final product. We understand that the most profound experience of film begins with three primary foundations: enigmatic script, trained actors able to channel an inner Cage or Dench, and a small, snappy, no bullshit crew for both pre- and post-production.

We are as much at home with a street-savvy, androgynous Richard III as Dead Man.

OUR VISION: LOCAL ROOTS, WORDLY SCOPE

FSP operates at the intersection of the immediate and the futuristic. While our physical footprint is grounded in the present and our surrounding localities, our creative modality is unconstrained by borders or strict genres. We boogie with traditions and fuse styles to create a bespoke and resonant portfolio. By stripping away the bloat of the current zeitgeist, we transform small, controlled studio spaces into expansive worlds.

Our signature aesthetic invokes an atmosphere that is simultaneously gothic, punk, witchy, sensory, androgynous, wild and ruthless.

VISION

FSP is dedicated to capturing behavior in its weirdest, most honest forms. Our slate spans all ages, topics, and tones, including:

Personal Myopic Works: Deeply internal, micro-focused character studies.
Classic Masterpieces: Dramatic, heavy-hitting Shakespearean monologues.
Laid-Bare Truths: Visually striking noir pieces tackling raw stories of joy, grief, and survival.
Futuristic Romps: High-energy, imaginative sci-fi explorations.
Taboo Subjects: Brave, boundary-pushing narratives that spark vital conversations.

COLLABORATION PHILOSOPHY

The magic of FSP happens behind the camera. We champion uniqueness and individuality, stories of rage and non-conforming points of view, the poet, the homeless, the thespian, the betrayed and the savant’s madness. By pairing the imagination with discipline.

CURRENT (2026/7)

OPPOSITION
~~ Frankenstein meets Mr Robot ~~

Pre-Production

We are currently in pre-production on the first of four deep-dive myopic character studies. This opening episode shines a lens on modern technology to explore the behaviour of a transactionally-trapped, entitlement-normalised society.

Through a structured question-and-answer, personality-versus-machine construct, OPPOSITION exposes how we, as a species, continue to dismiss the agency of anything we have biasedly deemed “lesser” than specified humans, or of utility only. Today, this manifests as widespread environmental and species extinction alongside the massive, unchecked expansion of physical data centres.

Premise

Ease is a killer. Time is not a resource that can be “saved”—that is merely a marketing ploy.

Instead, ease induces boredom. It triggers a hunger to fill a void once reserved for vital relaxation between hunts. The human animal’s true raison d’être is excitation. When that excitement is driven by a sudden realisation of insignificance, the animal inevitably turns either violent or suicidal. This friction lies at the core of our modern addiction epidemics.

WINGS | A DARKLY CURIOUS LOVE STORY

THE REDEMPTION OF JOE FRAME

THE REDEMPTION OF JOE FRAME: a Rushton/de Angeles film.

Joe is a savant. He perceives himself as from another place, the fallen being of another species. The backstory, of why, is not offered, but left to the curiosity of the viewer. Are some people simply not what is termed us, and are therefore, considered disturbing to society?

Disclaimer: neither the story nor this description intend dispute relative to schizophrenia or other forms of illness. The story questions acceptable narratives defining normalcy. The Redemption of Joe Frame was filmed predominantly in Byron Bay, Australia; an examination of the concepts of schizophrenia and/or mysticism. It is signified as a Rushton/de Angeles Production.

NOBODY–a documentary addressing humans in crisis

Due to technical treachery the full documentary is no longer available. This forum was brought together to discuss issues associated with the short film The Redemption of Joe Frame, both as a thank you to those involved in the making, and to discuss the core issues of disenfranchisement and segregation through bigotry associated with economics, social stigma and difference.
